And that old school feel is definitely an influence here.

Australian artists like Cold Chisel (the song “Rising Sun”), Rose Tattoo (the song “Nice Boys”), The Angels (the song “Shadow Boxer”), Airbourne (pick any) and AC/DC (pick any song) did songs like these. So it’s no surprise that their influences are all over this.

Volbeat are currently the champions at doing songs like these with mass commercial appeal.

The working title was SYKVOL and it came together very quick.

The first demo was recorded in December 2023 and then it was just a matter of priorities. I had “Doomsday Clock Part 1” and “A Lifeline Appears” to finish before this.
